Yes, you could have. Just remember, an Instrument Approach Procedure at another airport (nearby) may be quicker then the procedure at your home airport. That being said, yes, you can use the PROC button to load up an approach at your home airport. Just be advised that the Garmin may try to give you an approach at your destination airport. If it does, you’ll have to press the CLR button once, and then scroll up to the airport identifier and enter in the identifier of your home airport.
